AEROPHINE®3418A Promoter

AEROPHINE 3418A promoter is a unique, phosphine-based collector originally developed for the flotation of copper and activated zinc minerals and now recognized for its' selective properties on complex, polymetallic and massive sulfide ores. AEROPHINE 3418A exhibits strength yet, selectivity against iron sulfides, non-activated sphalerite and penalty elements.  Other key properties include:

  • Low frothing characteristics, even on ores containing clay minerals
  • Fast flotation kinetics and stable grade-recovery
  • Good collection of coarse middling particles
  • Highly stable and resistant to hydrolysis and oxidation
  • Low environmental impact

AEROPHINE 3418A is typically used to selectively float certain precious and base metals in the presence of iron, arsenic and non-activated zinc minerals.  Flotation circuits operating at neutral to slightly alkaline pH, benefit from AEROPHINE from the reduced dosage or elimination of sodium cyanide for rejection of certain gangue sulfide minerals including As, Sb, Bi, and Fe.

ANTIPREX®D

Antiprex D is an aqueous solution of fully neutralised low molecular weight sodium polyacrylate.

Antiprex D is an effective dispersant and rheology modifier for kaolin, gold processing slurries and other mineral suspensions.

Antiprex D functions as an efficient antiscalant for the prevention of scale deposits including calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, strontium sulphate and barium sulphate in industrial systems.

Corrosion inhibitors are designed to prevent metal loss that would otherwise lead to critical system failures in heat exchangers, recirculating water piping, and process cooling equipment. Furthermore, corrosion results in a loss of efficiency as corrosion products precipitate on critical heat transfer devices and insulate the metals.

Corrosion is caused by metals attempting to return to their natural state. Corrosion can be present in many forms, including uniform metal loss, localized or pitting, bi-metallic, galvanic, under deposit, and microbiological induced corrosion (MIC). The process starts when surface irregularities, stresses, or compositional differences result in the formation of a corrosion cell (anode and cathode). Once started, corrosion at the anode causes metal to be released into the system or redeposited locally. Pitting is particularly problematic because the local loss of metal can result in thru-wall perforation of piping and tubing.
